In 1867, the Western Reserve Historical Society was founded to preserve and present the history of all the people of Northeast Ohio. Today WRHS is the largest privately supported regional history society in the nation. Over 60,000 students from pre-kindergarten through high school visit WRHS properties throughout the school year, with hundreds more learning from WRHS programs through outreach.
