Art is Education envisions a public school system where every student receives the best possible education. This is achieved through a comprehensive, arts-filled curriculum. The arts develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s society. More funding is needed to give children the chance to grow as lifelong learners and citizens.

We need you. For learning. For success. For community.
Students engaged in the arts show higher levels of achievement and motivation. The arts create exciting learning environments that improve classroom climate and attendance. Art is Education addresses a full range of learning styles and nurtures creativity and imagination. This leads to higher levels of achievement and motivation.
Math and science are critical to reaching success. But just as important is the ability to think critically and creatively to connect those core skills to beneficial ideas. An education in the arts provides a context for critical thinking and the application of scientific learning, allowing students to thrive.
Students well-versed in the arts never lose their imagination, allowing them to stay open-minded. Their skills and perspectives keep them focused on improving the world around them. Arts education provides students the chance to understand and value both culture and the community.
Collaborate, Educate, Research, Train and Lead to improve performance in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
Advocacy is part of a plan to build a broader base of support for learning in and throughout the arts. Young Audiences, with the help of our supporters and partners, will expand this vision into the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. A motivated community as a whole will recognize the arts as a vital component to quality education.
The "arts" and "advocacy" are a natural pair. According to the National Endowment for the Arts report, The Arts and Civic Engagement, "arts participation overwhelmingly correlates with positive individual and civic behaviors".
